DOUBLE PASSION: FINE ART AND UFOS
We sure have some exciting and talented show hosts in our KGRAdb lineup. This shouldn’t surprise anyone; many of our watchers and listeners already know and
love our shows and presenters. But while you may know them as researchers and
paranormal investigators, many of our family members have very interesting day
jobs and pasts, from crime fighting and military to astronomy and teaching, to
name a few. Believe it or not, we have our very own resident expert in fine art and antiques, Martin Willis, host of Podcast UFO.
Martin, who is also an accomplished artist in his own right, is a second-generation auctioneer with over 45 years of experience, including many large charity benefit events.
In 1989, he held the Josiah Bartlett Auction, signer of The Declaration of Independence, with attendees from around the world. In the 1990s, Martin handled an extensive
number of works by American artist Walt Kuhn. In 2001, he sold the second to last letter Abraham Lincoln wrote, which was written on his knee in the White House corridor just a few hours before he left for Ford’s Theater on that fateful night. He was the senior appraiser for over six years at Clars Auction Gallery of Oakland, California, and was the exclusive appraiser for celebrities Merv Griffin‘s and Tom Snyder’s estates.
He formerly served as a board member of the American Decorative Arts Forum of Northern California, a charter member of the Board of Directors of the National Antiques Council, a past board member of the National Auctioneers Association, a past Vice President, and a Board Member of the New Hampshire Auctioneers Association.

Art has always been a passion for Martin, but it was a bit later that he developed what has become his other great passion in life. The UFO subject has fascinated Martin Willis since his youth, but he was always on the fence about the subject. That was before he had his own experience. In 2006, in Carmel Valley, California, Martin had a compelling sighting that finally solidified his belief that Unidentifiable Flying Objects exist. Since this time, he has researched, listened to the theories of others, and remained open-minded about what these phenomena might be.
He pondered the possibilities: Are they interdimensional? Are they possibly extraterrestrial? These questions and possibilities sparked his interest to another level. While he thinks we may never find out exactly what people are seeing, it is the most important and exciting puzzle to solve. Whatever the answer will be, he doesn’t think it will be mundane.
In the last few years, Martin has become interested in astronomy and has maintained a robust scientific fascination with our vast universe. Martin feels confident that we are not alone and thinks it is possible that some small, compartmentalized part of our government knows that and keeps it from us. As a UFO enthusiast, lucky for all of us, Martin created Podcast UFO in November 2011. Podcast UFO’s mission is to provide a place where anyone with a UFO experience, sighting, or a particular take on the subject can interact and be heard. Martin and his talented producer, Donna Killeen, who also happens to be the love of his life, do an excellent job creating a forum where their guests, whether experiencers or experts, feel comfortable sharing their stories.
We at KGRA are pretty darn proud of all our show hosts, but, boy oh boy, having a distinguished art expert on board makes us all feel just a
little classier!!
Don’t miss Martin (and producer Donna!) on the highly-rated Podcast UFO, Tuesdays at 7 PM ET!
