Born and brought up in a golden era for pop culture in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, Brian is steeped in classic rock, science fiction, movies, Television, and gaming. In addition, he has an abiding love for all things space and cosmology. He was born and raised in Scotland but now lives behind The Maple Curtain in Canada after much traveling.

Following a lengthy career in diverse fields such as The Royal Air Force, the premium drinks industry, technology, and financial services, Brian is gladly spending his time talking about the things he loves! Brian loves classic rock like The Beatles, The Who, and Queen, legendary Science Fiction novels, cult movies from such luminaries as John Carpenter, Cannon Films, classic Sci-Fi films, and Television, like Doctor Who, The Avengers, and Monty Python.

Brian’s move to Canada also triggered a newfound passion for Ice Hockey, much to the detriment of his bank account. Having finally reached the age where he can say to youngsters, “I saw that movie in the cinema back in the day,” Brian launched his YouTube channel, “That Seventies RockFan,” in 2021 to help keep alive the classic cultural experiences from the past we love and cherish. In terms of life philosophy, Brian tries to live by the wise words, “if it’s not Scottish, it’s crap.”
